Ferdinand Ries was a pupil of Ludwig van Beethoven’s inVienna between 1803 and 1805. The G-minor Clarinet Triowas written in 1810 when Ries had relocated back to hisnative Bonn.The present edition is based on the first edition in parts (Bonn1811), which is housed in the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek inMunich. A few obvious errors in this source were correctedfor this publication.
