Dedicated to Ulysse Delécluse, Fantaisie is divided in three main sections:
- Prélude – Modderato (senza rigore)
-Andante, featuring a Cadenza by the Clarinet solo
- Final which include a “Meno mosso” part and a “1 tempo”, before closing on a really harmonious note.

The mastering ofbreathingtechniques and a great flexibility are required for this piece which demonstrates the whole range of the instrument.
