Best known for his Operas andSacred music, De Mondonville's compositions won the composer the post of Master of the Music of the Royal Chapel. Dominus Regnavit was composed in 1935 and is a Large Motet based on Psalm 92. With a typical performance lastingabout 23 minutes, de Mondonville's Dominus Regnavit for choir is a sublime addition to the repertoire.
