“At the invitation of the Trio Haydée, I teamed up with the contemporary author & illustrator Diglee to create a new work for 'De lumières et de cieux embrasés', a programme made up entirely of pieces by female composers on the themes of night and day, life and death, love.. For our Aube, we follow a woman for whom the dawn brings painful childhood memories. Lasting around 7 minutes, the piece is constructed closely with the text, both structurally and in terms of the treatment of the voice, which favours supple, expressive melodic lines to highlight the words.” (Josephine Stephenson)
